Jipperish

A time of peace and contentment
The little girl swore she will never grow up
Licking her sweet lollipop she smiled with glee
"O, I will never ever grow old"

As time passed her by...
She had forgotten her words
She was so caught up in the game of life
Pausing now and then to think up of the next move...

Suddenly one night while she laid in bed...
She heard a whimpering cry that sounded familiar
It was the little girl she once knew and loved
The poor girl was hurt because life didn't play fair

It thrusted, pushed and shoved...
The little girl fell and now hurt her knees
No mama to go to, no papa to tend her wounds
She tried to calm her tears, and stand back up

What are there to do when childhood passes you by?
Once upon a time life was black and white
As one grows we finally see the little shades of dark grays, light grays, cool grays and warm grays
O the beautiful colors of the world....
